Architectural Shingles
Architectural shingles come in varying sizes and shapes giving them a dimensional look. They are about 50% thicker than a traditional three-tab shingle, granting them greater wind resistance. They are laminated with an additional asphalt layer, which gives it the contoured, dimensional look that makes them aesthetically pleasing. An architectural shingle roof will have a longer life and warranty than a three-tab shingle. They can also increase the value of your home.
Three-Tab Shingles
Three-tab shingles are distinguished by tabs made along their long lower edge. The resulting profile creates the illusion that each shingle is three separate pieces when installed, however it is only one shingle with three tabs. Three-tab shingles have been in the market for a long time, and remain one of the most economical and popular selections for residential roofing across the country.
